Yesterday was quite the flush in the overall markets. The overall volatility level of the markets and concentrated negative gamma levels kept me out of a credit spread on the day. I ultimately felt the risk/reward wasn’t there for the volatility lurking in the waters. We kept clear of any kind of spread. Risk management and zero days are just as important to being a successful trading as the big winning days. Knowing when to sit the day out is important and yesterday felt like the right kind of day to ultimately be on the sidelines when it came to credit spreads.

Our credit spread record currently stands as 59 wins and 2 losses. It is my goal to continue to only enter on high quality setups supported by our data backed entries.

SPY is flashing red again this morning after a steep sell off yesterday. We are nearing almost a half a percent down. 755 has some growing exposure below as well. We are currently trading at 760. If that breaks down then 755 could be on the table. There is still positive gamma above but price would need to move upward to really move into that range. As long as this negative gamma environment exists you can expect large expansive movement in the markets. The swings will be quick and violent. Stay vigilant and cut losers quickly and know your ranges and reversal areas for winners and when to take profits. Today is Friday as well which always brings some extra action before they close up shop for the weekend. Today will be all about knowing key levels and trading accordingly. Once I get a live read on gamma I will issue my trade to subscribers and go from there!
