Good Morning!

Yesterday was another solid day for the OPG Trading group! We entered 1 credit spread trade and it was super profitable and we were done by lunch time. I always enjoy when they are simple and easy. This one allowed for just that. We did a 762/760 SPY bull put spread on the dip and as the market recovered mid day we were able to close out the spread for next to nothing shortly before the noon hour making for an easy and stress free day!

This moves our spread trading record to 62 wins and 2 losses. We continue to have an incredible win rate with spreads and continue to be very prudent with picking our trades and entries very selectively and allowing theta and shrinking IV to do the rest for us.

SPY is down by nearly a percent as I type this premarket today. The daily gamma exposure is all over the place as well with large exposures both above and below current spot prices. I am bracing for an overly volatile day. We have large exposures to the downside at 750 and to the upside at 770. This is one of the widest ranges with significant exposures I have seen in quite some time. I am very interesting in watching price action today and seeing how it plays out. Credit spreads on highly volatile days can be a bit tricky. I’ll be a bit slower to pull the trigger today but that doesn’t mean I won’t trade. I’ll just be slower to ensure I love the setup and that I am not acting prematurely at any point. Once I have confirmation of a trade that I like then I will be sure to relay that information to all subscribers to get them in on the action immediately!
