Whale Watching
Whale Watching is our recurring segment where we share the most significant options purchases by smart money from the previous trading day.
There aren’t any notable contracts to look at for today so I will show you an alert we all received yesterday that already played out. This MSFT alert was given at 10:29 AM to the discord and peaked out with a 165% return from when it was alerted. This alert was triggered by smart money rapidly buying into the same contract. Our scanner picked it up and alerted the entire group. Many members in our group took advantage of it and make good profits on this trade. These are the type of alerts our scanner is looking for daily!
SPY Analysis
SPY is looking pretty ugly premarket. It’s down over 1% as I type this. The largest exposure today is at 743 and we are currently firmly in a negative gamma environment. This means expect volatility and the moves to be rapid. If you trade SPY keep this in mind. Negative gamma forces dealers to accelerate moves in the market. If a position is moving down then dealers must hedge by selling more of the position. If a position is going up dealers must hedge by buying more. This is what leads to accelerated moves in negative gamma environments. That’s what it looks like we will be dealing with in SPY today. Keep your moves tight and don’t be afraid to take profits when you’ve got them.
