Good Morning!

Friday put the finishing touches on a great week of trading for us inside of the OPG trading service! We sold a bull put spread on the day and was able to close it out not very long after as it gradually rose and broke through key levels above. That lead to a personal profit of $923.52 for me and brought the win rate up to 51 wins and 2 losses. Since starting this credit spread journey my overall profit is at $35,477.47 in 53 trading days.

SPY is pretty flat this morning as I type this only showing slightly down in the premarket. We’ve got some gamma build up in both directions. This is going to be one of those days where we wait for direction and confirmation and then and try to position a trade after a major move that the market brings us. As it stands currently, price action is inside of a negative gamma pocket. Positive gamma doesn’t pick up until the 771 strike above. It will be interesting to see if we move up to interact with that at all or if we start sweeping lower to interact with the negative gamma exposures that exist even lower as there is decently large exposure all the way down to 765 before it lightens up a bit. Remember that negative gamma can cause expansive moves and that’s what we will be watching for when price action is trading in these ranges. Don’t be surprised if we make a steep move down to take out those lower ranges. As always we will wait for the market to open to get some live readings of gamma before we make our final call on how we will trade today.
