Last week was another perfect week for us from a spreads stand point! We nailed all of our trades and capitalized on another great week and it allowed us to build up our account again for another week. Our goal continues to be win the day, win the week, win the month.

I was reviewing October and we didn’t lose a single spread trade in the month of October either. We hade a perfect month in what was also a very volatile month. Our goal is to use conservative spreads to build up an account over the long term. Our record since weve started this strategy is 62 wins and 2 losses.

After a nasty day in the market on Friday, the market is up around half a percent this morning pre market as I type this. I am sharing a gamma exposure map that shows up where institutions are positioned and how they have to hedge based on price movement. Green means they have to do the opposite of price action. If price is going down they must buy the dip and if going up they must sell the rip. If you see red gamma then it means dealers must amplify the direction the market is already heading.

Today we see more positive gamma floating around than anything which is an encouraging sign and a generally easier environment to trade in than the negative gamma. If price action can enter into the positive gamma ranges overhead then we may securely chop around for the day which could make for ripe conditions for a credit spread. As always, I will await a live reading on market open and make my read on gamma. Once I have a trade plan I will pass that information down to subscribers asap.
