We are now beginning to alert our “positive gamma staircase” pattern in real time. Let me show you an example:

This 0dte from last Thursday traded up over 100% from the potential entry. The goal of the positive gamma staircase is to enter your options trade at the bottom of strong positive gamma support. That would be $130 on this chart. Then your exit becomes unemotional. If you lose the 130 range you cut for a minimal loss and move on. However, if that $130 range holds the gamma structure should take hold and we should move up at test $135 giving us a great return on an options contract.

There was definitely a position being built in MSFT on Thursday our last trading day. This contract was getting lit up pretty hard beginning around the noon hour. It isn’t one that I have a position in but it is interesting none the less. MSFT has obviously lagged some of its mag 7 peers so a trade like this could make sense especially if someone things MSFT is ready to go on a run. This contact has about 4 weeks on it and does have some time to materialize. I’ll keep it on my watch list and see if it becomes interesting enough to be a buy for me.

SPY sits just below it’s biggest exposure on the board right now of 748. Again, this scenario sets up like many do for us as we observe SPY premarket. We have a positive gamma structure above and a negative gamma cascade below. How gamma materializes when the market opens is very important. If SPY can move up into positive gamma territory it can begin a grind upwards. Failing to claim the big area of 748 could leave it exposed to the downside. We will watch and see how it changes upon open and keep our live alerts members alerted in real time.
