Friday was another amazing day for our strategy. We continue to sell daily credit spreads on SPY. On Friday we profited $608.23 bringing our running total profits to $6717.24 since we started this strategy 9 trading days ago!

Whale Watching is our recurring segment where we highlight the most significant options purchases by smart money from the previous trading day.

This BABA repeater alert went off in the afternoon on Friday. BABA always trades interestingly. This one was at least significant enough that peaked my interest. Someone was loading up here and buying multiple contracts in rapid fire form. Time will tell if it turns out to be a good investment or not. I don’t have a position as i type this in BABA. However, I will be watching this contract for this upcoming week to see how it performs.

SPY has gapped up nearly 1% today as I type this! Heavy positive gamma nodes are stacked overhead with not much negative gamma underneath. This could be a controlled day with a slow grind upward. Sometimes gaps tend to close a bit upon open so keep that in mind as you trade SPY today. The markets continue to hang on the edge of every macro event and news headline. We will continue to take an analytical approach to markets and making trades and analysis purely on the data. There is an element that is news that we just can’t predict. That being said, we will use the data available to make conservative but strong predictions for the direction of the market. As always, I will wait for the market to open to get a live viewing of gamma before i make my final decisions.
