Yesterday’s analysis again went exactly as predicted as we were on a slow grind up into the 730’s.

Whale Watching is the recurring segment where we share the most significant flows from Wall Street whales from the prior day. Here is yesterday’s most significant flow:

BlackBerry? The old 2008 phone makers? That BlackBerry? Yes. That BlackBerry. Some intense flow came in on BB yesterday and persisted for the last 2 hours or so of the market being open. These orders were sweep orders and filling at the ask which is definitely bullish. There was also an urgency to these orders as well.

We’ve seen other legacy phone companies like Nokia have their resurgence this year already. The thing is…. BB has completely reinvented their business. They are an important player in cybersecurity and their technology is now in hundreds of millions of vehicles and growing.

I like the flow here. May take a position in this one.

SPY isn’t quite as defined as some other days. Our largest node sits at 735 which is also where we are trading currently in premarket. There is stair stepped positive gamma above with significant exposure up to 741. There is negative exposure significantly below 730.

Today’s most likely scenario as we sit here now is another controlled grind up towards 740. This can always change and I want to see the gamma buildup in real time, but that’s how the current positioning looks to me.
