It’s been a few days since our last trading day, but on Friday this AMD alert hit the tape and looks promising for the week ahead. Now to be clear, I do not have a position in this one. However, AMD is sitting pretty in the premarket and could very well make a run at $500 this week. This flow was strong enough to make it on my watch list this week. It’ll be interesting to keep an eye on this one.

SPY is sitting comfortably in a positive gamma environment this morning as we are up in premarket. Weekend talks of war deescalation has been encouraging to markets. We show some overhead gamma above as well. 752 is currently the largest node on the board. As it sits now, I think SPY has the potential to move up and through 755 today based on the current layout.

As always, I will await to see how it repositions as the market opens. I like to get a live read of gamma before I am too definitive on any particular direction. This is a favorable setup, though. I always like seeing a positive gamma environment with gamma positioning overhead. That has been the playbook over the last few days and it has worked out solidly for everyone who played it that way.
