Yesterday was another great day for our SPY traders! We called 2 entries on the day. One on the initial dip 10 minutes into the market and the other later in the day. Whale Watching is our recurring segment where we share the most significant options purchases by smart money from the previous trading day.

Today, instead of looking at any single options contract I am more looking at gamma exposures on CIFR. As I look out the the 7/17 exp week, I see massive exposure overhead by dealers. 22 is our largest exposure, but 25 and 30 also have large exposures as well. Often times, a structure like this appears before a stock moves up. Seeing exposure overhead like this is often a precursor to a nice move up on a stock. For now I am just watching. I may add some common stock or even some options if I want to play it more aggressively. I just wanted to highlight what I am seeing and share it with all of you!

SPY is trading down slightly premarket today. Currently it is sitting just below 750 which is the largest exposure on the board right now. Notice the heavy red gamma underneath current price. Be careful if SPY momentum carries down upon open as negative gamma can amplify moves and make things more volatile. There is still some stacked positive gamma overhead as well that could put us back in the upward grind like we saw yesterday. As always, I will wait for the market to open up to get a live reading on SPY and make my analysis to live alert members from there on how to trade it for the day!
