Whale Watching is our recurring segment where we highlight the most significant options purchase by smart money from the previous trading day.

This position building repeater went off yesterday and looks interesting enough to share. It’s dated out a little over a month away in September. This one came in right towards the end of the day. Yesterday’s options contract was a single day exp. It went up a lot! Congrats to all who bought a contract or two based off of this writing! Today’s is a little less stressful with a month to go before expiration. I don’t have a position here yet but it will be going on my watchlist and I will be following along to see how it is performing. As with all of the repeater alerts, these alerts are sent to our live alert members in real time while the market is open.

SPY is trading over 760 and up about a third of a percent as I type this. The market has been incredibly strong the past few trading days. Today looks to start that way again. We’ve been rallying and pushing an all time high since last Thursday. We have heavy positive gamma positioning above starting at 760 and upwards. There is more prominent negative gamma positioning today though starting at 759 and below. This could certainly be another day where the market rallies upwards and grinds its way to all time highs. As always, I want to get a live read on gamma when the market opens up before I make my final decision how I will trade this today. Looks to be another strong day for bulls!
