Yesterday was a wild day in the market! That’s what happens when you combine macro events like CPI and a negative gamma environment. It’s a recipe for volatility and we got just that yesterday.

Yesterday did bring us an absolutely amazing options contract. More on that below!

Whale Watching is our recurring segment where we detail the most significant flows from smart money from the day before.

This flow that came in on FCEL was some of the best flow that I’ve seen in a long time. As soon as I saw it I took a position and alerted it to all of our subscribers in the live alerts channel!

FCEL is a smaller company that isn’t even a $1 Billion market cap. We had millions of dollars of flow come in on the small name yesterday afternoon. Then in the last minute of the market they slapped nearly a million more on trying to sneak it on to the tape before the market closed. Most of these orders were sweep orders and many of them filled at the ask as well. This was purposeful and directional flow for a whale or whales who wanted long exposure on this name.

I’ve now got access to an A.I. agent that grades the quality of the options flow based on a number of technicals and fundamentals. This helps me quickly weed out the low quality flow from the good flow. This is the feedback it gave me on FCEL:

FCEL graded out as an overall B+ which made it very tradeable in my book. As I type this FCEL is up 7% in premarket!!

SPY has worked its way back into a positive gamma zone as I type this premarket. Glad we all survived the bear market of 10:00 AM to 2 PM yesterday LOL. There continues to be overhead gamma pulling price towards that 740 range. I would not be shocked if we make a push into that range today. I will have more confirmation once the market goes live and I can watch for gamma building up overhead in real time.

After yesterday, I don’t think I’d be in puts today. I think we push forward into 740 and test that resistance.
