Yesterday was a choppy day for SPY before it faded at the end of the day. It made for a difficult trading environment as theta decay worked on the value of all short dated contracts quickly as the day progressed.

Not every day is easy to trade! Some are difficult.

Whale Watching is an ongoing segment where we share the most significant options buys from smart money from the previous trading day.

RBLX was alerted yesterday earlier in the day. It went up 44% at it’s peak yesterday on a day that wasn’t so hot for markets. RBLX is a beat down stock and does have potential to move back upward as fundamentals and technicals align. There was a decent amount of flow coming on this one yesterday that made it interesting. I do not have a position as I always like to clarify that. It is on my watch list though as with the expiration there is a little time for it to materialize. I’ll be keeping a close watch on it that is for sure.

SPY was an absolute chop fest yesterday before it faded at the end of the day. Today I’ll be watching for what gamma areas materialize and where it can possibly go for the day. We have a Fed meeting today at 2:30 and that will carry a lot of weight as our new Fed chair will get his first chance on rate decisions. His sentiment and decision will likely have a large pull on markets today. Be very careful if you are trading during this time.

As for gamma, I plan to wait to see it materialize before I make any major moves. I want to see where it stacks up in real time and go from there. Right now we are in some slightly positive gamma. Let’s see if it stays that way!
